The Crossing Notes does not run a store. A cookie here would be the ordinary kind a browser keeps so a page can remember a small technical fact, such as whether you have already dismissed a notice.

I do not use advertising cookies on these pages, and I do not load third-party fonts or maps. If you arrived from an advertisement, the advertiser’s own cookie sits on the advertiser’s side. That is described in the privacy note.
